Information about your guide

Raphael

Fascinated by the sea from an early age, then later by fishing, I have logged thousands of hours on the water, in search of new species of fish and new fishing spots.

Keen to pass on my passion and my love for the region where I was born, I obtained the BACPN and BPJEPS fishing guide instructor qualifications, so that I can take you out to sea in complete safety.

I'm delighted to be able to take you on board the Dream of Tuna II, where good humour and conviviality will be the order of the day! I'll be sharing my love of the region, my favourite fishing spots and my knowledge with you.

Cast fishing

The principle of spearfishing is to identify the fishing area by locating fish hunts (tunas, pelamids, tunas, bonitos, etc.) thanks to the splashes produced by the feeding frenzy or by spotting the many birds that come to mingle with the feast, then approaching them so as to be able to casting lures in hunting.

Lors de cette journée de pêche au gros en Corse, nous utiliserons du matériel haut de gamme: spinning rods and reels, different types of lure (surface, semi-sinking and sinking).

Trolling

Trolling involves dragging different types of lure (live bait) behind the moving boat at different speeds (slow or fast). We can practice coastal dragby identifying the most favourable areas using echo sounder or the offshore trolling. We'll sail in search of the different fish found in the Mediterranean: white tuna or bluefin tuna, amberjack, Mediterranean marlin, dentex,...
