This one-day boat trip is your chance to discover the richness of Guadeloupe's waters and try your hand at lure and fly fishing. This long 6-hour session allows you to discover several fishing spots and techniques and try your luck at catching a big fish.
As a fishing enthusiast and native of the island, I'd be delighted to share with you some of my knowledge of fishing, the environment and the local culture.
Depending on your preferences and the weather conditions, we'll go lure and fly fishing in the mangroves and sheltered bays in search of snook, jacks, tarpon and barracuda. Then we'll head out into the lagoon along the shallows and drop-offs of the coral reef in search of paddlefish and groupers, as well as kingfish, bonito, tarpon, trevally, garfish and barracuda.
It was an outing rich in discovery and diversity, and an opportunity to acquire specific knowledge to better understand tropical sea fishing.

Guadeloupe offers a diversity of landscapes and ecosystems that is unique in the Caribbean. I'll take you on a tour of these treasures, on foot and aboard my Boston Whaler Montauk guardian 17″, which is perfectly equipped and safe for fishing.
The programme includes jungle river fishing, mangrove and river mouth fishing, flats fishing, beach fishing, wall fishing and coastal trolling.
There's something to suit all tastes, all levels and all generations, and I'll be able to adapt to your needs and meet them with the utmost care.
Fishing is first and foremost my passion, and I'll make sure you go home with the same virus! or just a nice little grin!

The detailed programme
We'll be practising a range of fishing techniques depending on your preferences and the weather conditions.
We'll explore part of the petit and grand cul de sac marin as well as the Pointe à Pitre roadstead and the rivière salée (the mangrove-lined arm of the sea separating the two parts of the island).
Spinning and casting lure fishing will be favoured as it allows us to tackle a large proportion of the marine predator fish species and to practise our passion in most conditions.
On the programme: fishing for snook and tarpon with light casting in the mangrove swamps, river mouths and along the coast; fishing for paddlefish, groupers and other bottom fish with scratching and light jigging; surface fishing for barracuda, kingfish and jacks along the various underwater features; jigging for kingfish, tuna and bonito and strong fishing on the deep drop-offs when the sea permits.
Fly fishing Fishing requires good weather conditions to be effective, so we favour days with low winds and good light to maximise our chances of success. We fish mainly on sight and on the hunt, which reduces the species that can be caught.
The programme: snook and tarpon fishing in mangrove swamps and shallow bays; bonefish and permit fishing on the flats and along the barrier reef. It's also possible to track bonito, barracuda, pager and trevally. A 9-foot 8-gauge floating rod and a 9-foot 10-gauge intermediate rod will enable us to tackle a wide range of situations and fish.
Trips are made on an unsinkable 5m18 (17″) Boston Whaler montauk guardian open hull boat. The gull-wing hull makes it easy to navigate shallow areas and offers good stability and fishing comfort. This very versatile boat allows me to go out when the conditions pick up a bit, as is often the case in Guadeloupe. It's perfectly equipped for inshore fishing and is just waiting for you.
