Introduction to fly fishing in the Hautes-Pyrénées

Over the course of a day, I suggest discover fly fishing for trout. Reading a river, trout behaviour, underwater life, equipment, linear casting lessons... this technique will hold no secrets for you! Then, with a little hard work, you'll be able to set off on your own in search of Lady Fario. With a focus on sharing and conviviality, I'll do everything I can to make this an unforgettable day.

I offer introductory and advanced dry fly fishing for trout.
My playgrounds are the rivers and streams of the Pyrenees: Neste, Arros, Adour and Gave. I provide you with rods and Tenkara, flies and all my tips and tricks. Two key words: sharing and conviviality will punctuate our fishing day.
I offer accommodation in my yurt with guided or unguided fishing trips and fly-tying... Don't hesitate to contact me.

The detailed programme

The appointment is made together at the fishing site at 9am. It is confirmed once the information has been taken from vigiecrue and Météo France. A warm welcome and a chance to get to know each other over coffee and croissants provided by me.

The morning is devoted to discovering the environment (reading a river, underwater life) and the fario (behaviour, diet). We then move on to technique, with a presentation of the equipment: the rod and its specific action, how to make a leader and, finally, how to cast a line.

The afternoon is spent in the water applying the information given in the morning. Observation, positioning and throwing.
