FISHING EQUIPMENT

For beginners or anyone who doesn't want to bring their own fishing tackle on this popping and jigging trip to Egypt, we can certainly help. For the rest of you, here's a list of the fishing tackle you'll need to bring on this fishing trip to Egypt.

// Popping in Egypt

We always suggest PE 8-10 (100-130 lb), with mono leaders of at least 170 lb. This will allow you to fish comfortably while preventing fish from breaking you on drop-offs and rocks.

// Speed Jigging in Egypt

We strongly suggest two combos: one in PE 4 (50-60lb) and the other in PE6 (80-100lb) ... which will cover all the spots and fish: DogtoothReef fish and Amberjacks.

Micro-jiggings are a must in this part of the world, so we always ask our guests to bring some, especially for those days when the weather is too harsh to go out in search of GT.

For safety reasons, we only recommend barbless hooks (single hooks preferred) on our boats.

THE BOAT

The boat is a 38-foot custom-built centre console, powered by Twin Suzuki 250HP 4-stroke engines, with everything you'd expect from a professional fishing boat.
It is equipped with the latest electronics, the 12-inch Simrad Evo 3 plotter, the 1 kW transducer and the autopilot to make the most of cruising.

Safety first... The boat is also fitted with brand new safety equipment (flares, lifejackets, satellite telephone, anchor, first-aid kit). So it's safe for you and your family, including the very young.
