The flats are shallow areas along part of the Guadeloupe coastline.

It is an ecosystem rich in biodiversity, home to many fish species, including the legendary bonefishs and permits. They come to these areas to feed on small crustaceans, sea urchins and others... The fish can be seen at times on the flats, they betray their presence by showing their tail fin out of the water, this is the famous "tailing"... Apart from that, you really need a good eye to spot them, hence the nickname of "the flats". bonefishghost of the flat.

Over the years, I have become interested in the biology of these fish and their behaviour. I know when and where to find them, and I'll be delighted to share these unique encounters with you.

Information about your guide

Cyril

I'm Cyril, a young Guadeloupean who's had a passion for nature ever since I was a little boy, particularly fishing...
My fishing techniques in Guadeloupe are lure fishing (spinning + casting) and fly fishing.
I fish at sea in Guadeloupe from the shore and by boat. With me, you'll discover the different ecosystems that make up our island: rivers, mangroves, flats, wild beaches, lagoons and coral reefs.
Discover Guadeloupe from another angle, in search of the different species of fish that inhabit our waters, such as tarpon, bonefish, snook, jacks and others...
