Black bass fishing in the Landes

I'm offering you a day's guided black-bass fishing in the Landes on board my bassboat.

Black bass are particularly well represented in the Landes department, where the environment is ideal for their acclimatisation. You can be guided around the various Landes lakes, including Parentis, Cazaux, Etang Blanc and Souston. 

This day can be focused on discovering boat fishing for black bass, on specific techniques (topwater, frogs, fishing in very crowded environments, powerfishing...). I will do my best to pass on all my knowledge of this species and its fishing.

Paul

My name is Paul, I'm 26 and I've been a keen fisherman since I was 4.
My passion for fishing began at the age of 4 in the Aveyron region of France. Since then, the passion has never left me, particularly when fishing for carp, various white fish and trout, but also on the Basque coast until I was 10, when I discovered lure fishing.
Throughout my adolescence, I surveyed the gravel pits of Toulouse and the Basque country, as well as the canals and rivers accessible from the shore and by float tube.
A large part of my studies were focused on environmental management and protection, which led me to join a fishing federation during a number of work placements and also to work at the heart of a fishing activities centre, where I was able to discover my desire to pass on my passion for fishing and to raise awareness of the need to protect the environment in which we practice our hobby.
So it was natural for me to change careers and train as a fishing guide and instructor in Aveyron.

Today, as a holder of the BPJEPS Moniteur Guide de Pêche diploma, I'll be delighted to take you fishing and help you discover the different environments that the South-West has to offer, providing you with quality equipment so that you can enjoy your session in complete safety.
I'll do my best to meet your expectations, whether you're just discovering float tube or boat fishing, or you'd like to improve your skills, particularly in my favourite techniques which are black-base fishing and all types of bank and weed fishing to target pike and perch in our Landes waters.

The detailed programme

The programme for the day and the techniques to be used will be established beforehand according to your level and expectations. 

The place of fishing will be decided according to the conditions of the moment and your location. I can transport you free of charge to the fishing spot from Bayonne/ Sud des Landes. 

The day will begin with a presentation of the equipment, the boat and the safety equipment. A presentation of the target species will also be given. 

The boat has all the equipment needed to make the day run smoothly. All the safety equipment (life jackets, etc.) and fishing gear (top-of-the-range spinning and casting rods, lures, pliers, etc.) is on board, but you can bring your own equipment. 

Fishing will take place over 8 hours.

The Landes département has great, recognised potential for black-bass fishing. Whether you're fishing from the shore or from a boat, the diversity of sites means you can fish in all kinds of ways on some 11,600 ha of water and 1,000 km of second-category rivers. A dream for all carnivore and black-bass anglers!
