Shark fishing off the Bay of Arcachon

Over the course of a day, I offer you a session of Shark fishing off the Bay of Arcachonfull of sensations.

We'll be using the "broumé" technique, in which continuous baiting creates an olfactory net in the water to draw the sharks to our baits. Sometimes we'll even be able to see the fish on the surface around the boat!

Shark fishing off the Bay of Arcachon

The detailed programme

Boarding every day from May to September from the Port de la Vigne in Cap Ferret and the Port of Arcachon.

The broumé technique originated in the Mediterranean and is now used throughout the world. Practised only by boat and off the coast, it involves baiting an area to stimulate the appetite of the fish and attract them to the boat.
Fishing is carried out in drifting mode, generally at depths of between 30 and 100 metres. The shoals of shark, tuna or sunfish that cross the track of the grazer then rise in the current to the lines baited and placed in the direct wake of the bait.

Each shark caught will be returned to the water with the utmost respect.

For those who wish, a camera and an HD onboard camera are available on the boat to immortalise your day's fishing.
