Carnivore fishing in Sweden at Västervik

Welcome to authentic Sweden, right in the heart of an archipelago with dreamlike landscapes and unspoilt wilderness on the shores of the Baltic Sea. Our fishing site is located around 30 km by boat (50 by road) north of Västervik, in the Tjust archipelago.

The advantage of this site is that it offers sheltered fishing areas whatever the weather conditions, and you don't necessarily have to travel great distances by boat to find good areas for pike.
Here you can fish in many different areas sheltered bays 1 to 3 metres deep where pike are present in large numbers. There are also islands, shoals, fjords forming large bays with depths in excess of 20 metres, home to large shoals of herring, the prey of choice for large pike, as well as a variety of other species. zander and poles which are also well represented.

At the beginning and end of the season, sea trout make their appearance in bays and near rocky points.

The detailed programme

CARNIVORE FISHING IN VÄSTERVIK

The area has a high density of pike to fish often in shallow bays (from early April to mid-June and then from mid-August to late October) in the jerkbaitswimbaitflexible shelf spacespinnerbaitspoon....

For fishing deeper structures, divinator-type paddle shads work well, but large linear shads also have their moments of glory on pelagic fish around the shallows.

Pike-perch fishing from late May to mid-October produces some nice fish. Vertical and back casting shads are a safe bet. Finally, especially from mid-August to the end of September, perch can be caught with both soft and hard lures around rocky structures and in bays, and sometimes on the surface with poppers and stickbaits.
Sea trout require a certain amount of specific fishing time if you hope to catch one or more. Blue and silver Abu Toby type wobbling spoons size nr 2 are perfect for this type of fishing, but swimming fish and small jerks are also worth a try.

THE BOATS
