Known and recognized across the Atlantic, Borboleta lures are now landing in France, to the delight of exo fishing enthusiasts and lures in general. For those who do not yet know Borboleta, we wanted to devote an article to this brand of lures straight from Brazil.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

History of Borboleta lures: Made in Brazil lures<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Borboleta lures <\/strong>are Brazilian lures, made in the South East of the country, at sea and in the mountains. Founded in 1980 by Zezito Abdalla, Borboleta is today a manufacturer of essential lures for peacock bass fishing but also large predatory freshwater and marine fish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Originally developed by hand, Borboleta lures are now computer-designed, tested, retouched and tested over and over again to obtain a perfect result in terms of swimming and imitation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many models of Borboleta lures, however, continue to be made in wood and by hand for tuna or GT trevally.
We will introduce you to some of the iconic borboleta lures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Propeller lure Borboleta Woodstock<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Borboleta Woodstock 13<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The Borboleta Woodstock weighs 35gr and measures 13cm. It's a floating lure fitted with a buzzbait propeller that emits a distinctive low-pitched sound when dry fished. As its name suggests, the lure is made from wood, which gives it perfect buoyancy throughout its life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It also resists puncturing the teeth of the vampire fish, otherwise known as the payara. It is also equipped with split rings and reinforced 1\/0 hooks, designed for fishing these powerful exotic fish. You won't need to change them like on Japanese lures. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Propeller lure Borboleta Jaraqui<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Borboleta Jaraqui<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The Borboleta Jaraqui is a dense plastic lure weighing 44gr and measuring 14cm. Like its Woodstock brother, it is a propeller lure, the difference being that it has 2 propellers on the back of the tail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sound that emerges is therefore very different, much more aggressive than on the woodstock<\/em>. It is also more imposing by its width, and its treble hooks are 4\/0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Floating stickbait Borboleta Zarari<\/em> <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Borboleta Zarari is a surface lure weighing 25gr and measuring 11cm. It comes to life when you walk the dog. Very strong thanks to its through-armature, it will resist all the predators on the planet without the slightest problem. It can also be cast a long way thanks to its streamlined shape. Some very big peacock bass have been caught with this unusual stickbait.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Floating stickbait Borboleta Little Bob<\/em> <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Borboleta Little Bob is equally at home in the sea or freshwater. It is also easily animated by walking the dog. But thanks to its concave mouth, the sound of a popper adds to its attractiveness. A sort of 2 in 1 for this stickbait\/popper hybrid. Its centre of gravity has been placed at the rear to catapult it as far as possible. It's also a feature that will give you a better strike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sinking stickbait Borboleta Tunao<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Sinking stickbaits are often underused in Western Europe. But here's one that's caught countless fish. The Borboleta Tunao is a real casting missile. Weighing in at 33gr for 12cm, its density is enormous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can reel him in regularly, which will make him swim in an \"S\" shape. You can also twitch it to flash its blanks. It was originally designed for tuna but is perfectly suited to all predators around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jerkbait Borboleta Perversa<\/em> <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Perverse<\/em> is a cult lure in Brazil. Arriving on our territory, it is certain that this hardbait will be suitable for the tracking of many predators: perch, pike, black bass, bass,\u2026 Sailing just below the surface, the Borboleta Perversa<\/em>, a size of 10cm for 21g, is very versatile. Easy to animate, it produces vibrations as well as a rather disorderly and erratic swimming which will without hesitation trigger the attack of a predator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
