Lac de Lacanau (also known as Lac du Moutchic) is a natural lake covering almost 2,000 hectares. It is located in the commune of Lacanau, on the Atlantic coast of the Gironde department. It is one of the largest natural freshwater lakes in France, set in an exceptional forest environment.
Carnivore fishing, particularly for pike, is king here. Pike are very present, with a large number of large fish over 80 cm. Lac de Lacanau is also very rich in poles which move in shoals near the sea grass beds. It's not unusual to catch perch over 40 cm long in Lacanau.. With top-of-the-range equipment, you will be supervised by a qualified fishing guide attentive to your every need for a day of predator fishing on Lac de Lacanau.

With a background in agriculture and aquaculture, and a diploma as a fishing instructor-guide, Julien works in the Bay of Arcachon as well as in Guadeloupe. He has worked with the most powerful fish, such as tarpon and aïmaras... His passion and desire to pass on his knowledge are sure to give you a great time sharing and enjoying fishing.

After a safety debriefing, each angler will be equipped with a top-of-the-range set (rod, reel and lure).
With the guide's advice, you'll be in charge of your own predator fishing on Lacanau lake.
The fish caught will be released in the best possible conditions and with the greatest respect.
A camera and an HD on-board camera are used to capture your fishing trip if it is a good one. You will then receive (on request) an email containing your memories of the fishing trip.
